Extension cords can be very dangerous. Extension cord should be sized properly
depending on the load and extension cords should only be used temporarily. If an
extension cord is used regularly then an outlet should probably be installed.
Your electrical system should have ground fault protection in bathrooms, kitchens,
unfinished basements, garage and all exterior outlets.
If breakers or GFIs are tripping, that is a warning that there are electrical problems that
need to be corrected. Leaving this problem unchecked can lead to equipment damage or
fire.
